The Toronto Islands, a treasure map leading to buried Blue Rodeo tickets and a gorgeous diamond ring means this little guys mommy and daddy are going to be husband and wife next year! Congrats Lindsay and Jordan xxx! This photo shoot was an engagement gift for Jordan, the ever talented and creative guy my dear friend Lindsay will be marrying in August 2011.

The graffiti, the sunglasses and Chase’s hoodie are all some of Jordan’s favourite things. We wanted an urban and artistic feel and I think we accomplished just that and more.

Chase is going to make such a handsome ring bearer and my Em will hold his hand as the flower girl. Well they might not hold hands but that’s the hope anyway… so exciting!

That’s all! Just playing a little catch-up. It’s begun, a busy month with lots of photo sessions and I am loving every minute but I do/will miss Em, so this one’s for her. A few photos I’ve taken over the summer, they all reflect what an incredibly happy baby is – she lights up a room and my heart.

I adore this set, it’s one of my favourites to date. The tenderness of Elise against the rough docking bay and train is a positively delectable contrast in my opinion. After my most recent shoot with her baby sister Ava, we had to have some big girl time and focus the lens on Elise’s beauty for a while! They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I don’t think there’s any question, she is absolutely gorgeous. I know her mom will be choosing one of these photos for a Photo Art Canvas to hang over Elise’s new toddler bed.

Another wonderful mini workshop and photo session with the pregnant women at Blue Skies Yoga. I just love seeing that warm smile and calm in a pregnant woman as she lays her hands on her stomach and connects with her child, it’s such a tender and precious moment.

August is going to be a busy month so my guess is not much time for blogging (sorry to disappoint), however just wait for September, there will be loads of fun images to browse through not to mention a fab new website launch.

Fall is my favourite time of year, I did get married in October after all. I love the colours, the crunch of leaves under your feet and the warmth of those Indian summer nights in September that lead into the cool days when you can smell that winter is around the corner. Time to bundle up and enjoy a cozy fire with your loved ones. Before that first snow fall comes, because trust me it’s not that far away, be sure to book a fall photo session for a delightfully rich palate of beautiful images to cherish for years.

Well I finally got caught up on most of my work so I had some time to play… of course playing means editing the photos from Em’s 1st birthday. I have a lot more to work on when it comes to family shots. Mexico pics are coming soon, as are a few other mini sessions I did with my girl, but I’m starting with these as I’m certain there are a few people waiting to see the cake!

To sum it up, Em’s birthday was phenomenal! We had a ton of family and friends with us to celebrate (10 kids under age 3), a full weekend full of wonderful house guests and Em enjoyed every second of the attention and playtime. I’m sure at the young age of one she is already wishing every day was her birthday.

Well she’s not exactly mine, but close enough. This darling baby girl is my friends newest addition. You may recall a previous post of Elise (her older sister) and the belly, the belly is no longer and I don’t believe anyone guessed the arrival date correctly. Another late one, Mel must keep it nice and cozy for them.

Ava Reese May Francis was born June 2nd at 1:40 pm, 8 lbs 6 ozs and 21″ tall. It’s hard to believe that all of our babies were once this tiny, it must be because it only lasts a split second and all of a sudden you’re chasing around a toddler. What fun it is to watch them grow from such delicate little people. Cherish every precious moment mommies!

The sun was my friend for this shoot, as were the geese. So I let it inspire this set by creating warm, sun-kissed images with a dash of sapphire for the equally important element, water.

I can’t stress enough to moms in my mini workshops just how important natural light is, this is a great demonstration of what you can get from a gorgeous sunset.

Taylor, the big sister, came to me to capture a great brother/sister shot for a Photo Art canvas to give to their mom. It is yet to be decided which shot will be used but I think we have some wonderful options, what a good lookin’ family !

I also tried out my new set of Flora Bella Luxe Actions on some of these photos, pure exquisiteness!

There is a light within a pregnant women that shines from the inside out. It’s such a beautiful thing, a big round belly cocooning this perfect little person just waiting to come into the world.

Here’s a small glimpse of the light these women exude! The last few shots are of Janine, the owner of Blue Skies and her gorgeous daughter.
